2026 No Kidding! Events Here's the list of the exciting events we have planned for this year.
January – Potluck Dinner and Game Night Bring some food and your favorite game to Denise and Dan's home for a night of gaming. It's no wonder that this is one of our most highly attended events.
February – Super Bowl Party We'll be meeting at a Lisa and Howard's home for an evening of great food, laugh-out-loud commercial breaks, and awesome football. You don't want to miss this!
March – Candlelight Concert Candlelight concerts are short performances by string quartets on a darkened stage lit by hundreds of battery-powered votive candles. The musicians translate many genres of contemporary music into classical style, from Queen to Adele to Drake. It's beautiful music in a magical atmosphere. Thank you, Claire, for setting this up.
April - Cooking Class The culinary craft workshop has hands-on cooking classes on a variety of styles of cooking and food. They are a good mix of hands-on participation and observing a professional chef. At the end, our group gets to eat what we make. Thank you, Denise and Dan, for setting this up.
May - Mini Golf Join us for an afternoon of fun and putt-putt competition. Thank you, Lisa and Howard, for volunteering to set this up. We'll see you on the greens!
June - Kayaking Christine and Joe will set up an outing for all of us to get out and enjoy some time on the water in single-person or double-person kayaks.
July - Boordy Vineyards Join us for an afternoon/evening of music and good company outdoors at Boordy Vineyards. Sample their wines and delicious food from local restaurant trucks. Or bring your own goodies to enjoy picnic-style. Thank you, Patti and Rob, for setting this up.
August - Pool Party and Barbecue It's the most wonderful time of the year at the home of Marci and Mitch. Cool off in the pool, hang out with friends, and behold Mitch's talent at the grill. As always, there will be plenty of appetizers and desserts.
September - Jerusalem Mills Tour Take a tour and experience living history at an 18th and 19th century historic gristmill village at Jerusalem Mills. Thank you, Regina and Dave, for setting this up.
October - Escape Room We are looking forward to some time together finding clues and solving puzzles at Breakout Games in Columbia, MD. Thank you, Anne and Dave, for setting this up.
November – 2025 Planning Lunch This is the most important event of the year. Once again, we will be creating the events schedule for the following year. We need every member’s input to make the new schedule the best ever. Bring your best ideas!
December – Local Theater Once the various local theater venues post their December show schedules, Marci and Mitch will pick a show. We'll have dinner before the show at a restaurant near the theater venue.
