2019 No Kidding! Events
Here's a list of the exciting events we have planned for 2019.
January - Local Theater
We’ll be going to the Vagabond Players Theater in Fells Point to see one of our own members, Claire, make her acting debut in Agatha Christie’s “And Then There Were None.”
February - Super Bowl Party
We'll be meeting at the home of Lisa and Howard for an evening of great food, laugh-out-loud commercial breaks, and awesome football action on a big screen TV. You don't want to miss this!
March - Ethnic Dinner
A new culinary experience has been selected for us to enjoy. We're dining at Rudy's Mediterranean Grill. The Turkish cuisine is at this restaurant is simply incredible.
April - Potluck Dinner & Game Night
Bring some food and your favorite games to Charla and Bill's home for a night of group gaming. Everyone wins when you're having this much fun. This event is scheduled for April 27th.
May - Bengie’s Drive In
Always a fun time at Bengie’s Drive-In Theater, which has been in operation for the last 62 years and still going strong. Join us on May 4th for a spectacular evening at the movies.
May - Postmodern Jukebox
Pianist Scott Bradlee became a viral pop sensation after creating a series of clips for YouTube that found him and a group of rotating musicians reworking current pop songs in a variety of vintage styles.
* This event was added to the schedule by one of our members after the 2019 planning session.
June - Escape Room and Lunch
Lisa and Howard have set up a great event. We'll do the "escape room" in Finksburg first and then head to lunch at RockSalt Grille in Westminster for lunch. We had a great time last year, so come on out and join us!
July - DuPont Mansion Tour (Delaware)
We're touring the charming and picturesque Witherthur house as well as the expansive gardens developed by the DuPont family in Delaware. Come out for a memorable day in a beautiful place.
August - Pool Party & BBQ
Relax at the home of Marci and Mitch. Cool off in the pool and hang out with friends. Then treat yourself to Mitch's BBQ skills. What a great way to spend a warm August evening.
August - Annapolis Summer Garden Theater
We’ll be seeing “Mamma Mia!” at this wonderful, small and intimate outdoor theater. This a longtime community theater led by volunteers showcasing musicals on an outdoor stage.
September - Flying Circus
Take a step back in time to the days of the barnstormer and the flying circus. Enjoy watching open and closed cockpit planes maneuver through the air and if you’re daring enough, you can take a ride! This event is now scheduled for September 15th.
October - Guinness Factory Tour
We’ll tour Guinness’ first stateside brewery since 1954, which recently opened in Baltimore. Located on the site of the first Maryland distillery opened after prohibition. Since 1934, whiskey has been distilled, aged, and blended here.
November - 2020 Planning Lunch (*Members Only)
This is the most important event of the year. Once again, we will be creating the events schedule for next year. We need every member’s input to make next year’s schedule the best yet. Bring your ideas and be ready to brainstorm.
November - Comedy Club
Looking for a hilarious night out filled with fun and laughter? Join us for an awesome evening at one of our local comedy clubs on November 2nd.
December - Stained Glass Class
We’ll all get a chance to explore our creative sides and learn some new artistic skills. We'll learn about stain glass making tools and then put them to use with the help of a stain glass artist. Click here for details.
