We’ll be heading to the Vagabond Players Theater in Fells Point to see one of our own members, Claire, in her acting debut in Agatha Christie’s “And Then There Were None.” We’ll be joining Claire for dinner at a local restaurant (TBD) after the show.
Ten seeming strangers with suspicious pasts are brought together on a remote island that turns into a deathtrap where an unknown assassin executes them one by one. The Queen of Mystery (whose Mousetrap thrilled Vagabonds audiences five seasons ago) once again delivers a compelling puzzle with enough twists and turns to keep you gripped in your seat until the very, very end. The show is directed by Eric C. Stein. "A perfect combination of thriller and detective story...This is Christie's greatest technical achievement." - The Guardian

Steve and Lynn just bought tickets to see the Post Modern Jukebox concert on Sunday May 12th at American Music Theatre in Lancaster.
Postmodern Jukebox - Welcome to The Twenties 2.0 Tour Proving that everything new can be old again, pianist Scott Bradlee became a viral pop sensation after creating a series of clips for YouTube that found him and a group of rotating musician – dubbed Postmodern Jukebox – reworking current pop songs in a variety of vintage styles. The group transformed Miley Cyrus’ “We Can’t Stop” into a 1950s-style doo wop number, gave Macklemore’s “Thrift Shop” a ‘20s jazz accent, crossed Daft Punk’s “Get Lucky” with Irish folk music, and showed how Ke$ha’s “Die Young” would work as a classic country tune.
The concert is on Mother's Day. We couldn't do group seating based on their requirements. If anyone is interested, just purchase your own tickets ($48 each). We will plan on doing an early dinner before the event if anyone else goes. Tickets are now on sale.
A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder is the knock-’em-dead, uproarious hit and the most-nominated show of the 2014 season with ten Tony nominations and four wins, including Best Musical. When the low-born Monty Navarro finds out that he’s eighth in line for an earldom in the lofty D’Ysquith family, he figures his chances of outliving his predecessors are slight and sets off down a far more ghoulish path. Can he knock off his unsuspecting relatives without being caught and become the ninth Earl of Highhurst? And what of love? Because murder isn’t the only thing on Monty’s mind.
